David Stanton

David Stanton

Vice Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer

In his capacity as President & CEO, Mr. Stanton is responsible for PeopleFirstBank’s strategic direction and growth initiatives. His banking career spans over 30 years serving primarily in community banking. Prior to joining PeopleFirstBank, he served as Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer at Oak Lawn Bank. Mr. Stanton began his career as a lender with Devon Bank in Chicago. In the late 1980’s, Dave moved to Beverly Bank, quickly elevating through the ranks to Chief Lending Officer. He later became President of First National Bank of Wilmington, IL (a wholly owned member of Beverly Bancorporation, Inc.) and later, President of Beverly Bank Oak Lawn. In 2001, after the sale of the Beverly Banks, Mr. Stanton accepted a position with Oak Lawn Bank as Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, Director and Board Secretary. Mr. Stanton was instrumental in forming Oak Lawn Bank, which was eventually sold to First Banks, Inc., a St. Louis, MO bank holding company.

Dave received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. Along with his role at PeopleFirstBank, Dave is serving as a Director of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois and Chairman of his church’s finance council. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

John Dabrowski

John Dabrowski

Director, Executive Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Dabrowski has over 35 years experience in the banking industry with concentrations in accounting, reporting, and compliance. He was employed by Beverly Bancorporation, Inc; a multi-bank holding company organization for 19 years. Prior to joining PeopleFirstBank, he was employed by Devon Bank in Chicago as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He is a graduate of DePaul University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In addition, he is a certified public accountant and a member of the Illinois Society of C.P.A.'s. Currently, Mr. Dabrowski resides in Orland Park where he is a Knight of Columbus and a member of St. Julie Parish where he has assisted in various fund raising and educational programs in the community.

Jack Masterson

Jack Masterson

Executive Vice President & Chief Lending Officer

As Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, Mr. Masterson is responsible for PeopleFirstBank’s lending portfolio and commercial loan initiatives. His banking career covers 27 years, including his position as Senior Vice President of Credit Administration at Metropolitan Bank Group. Prior to joining Metropolitan, he served as a Senior Vice President at Community Bank of Ravenswood in Chicago, IL and also in officer roles with BancOne and Beverly Bank, a community banking organization where he worked in loan portfolio analysis, new business development and lending division management roles.

Jack received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from St. Norbert College, DePere, Wisconsin. He also earned an MBA from Loyola University.

J. Matthew Bibo

Assistant Vice President - Retail Managing Officer

Matt has worked in the banking industry for over 7 years. Launching his career with Wells Fargo Bank, he served at their Bloomington, Naperville and Shorewood Illinois offices in credit and branch management roles. His experience covers both business and consumer banking. Mr. Bibo earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, Illinois. He joined PeopleFirst Bank in 2008 and serves as Retail Managing Officer for both the Joliet and Shorewood offices. As a resident of Shorewood, Matt is serving as Treasurer of the Kiwanis Club of Shorewood and is also active in the Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce and the Employer Advisory Council of Cornerstone Services, Inc.

Robyn Edwards

Robyn Edwards

Assistant Vice President - Residential Lending

A product of Joliet West High School, Robyn brings over 30 years of financial industry experience to PeopleFirstBank. She began her banking career in 1977 at Amerifed Bank Joliet (formerly Joliet Federal Savings and Loan). Ms. Edwards has also served as a mortgage loan consultant at Citibank and as an Assistant Vice President of Lending at the Bank of Shorewood. In addition to her mortgage lending experience, Robyn has worked with real estate tax analysis, insurance and escrow accounts.

Ms. Edwards studied at the Illinois Institute of Financial Education and the Illinois Bankers Association. Robyn is an active member of the Exchange Club of Joliet. Ms. Edwards also volunteers her time at other charitable organizations including the MorningStar Mission of Joliet. Robyn serves as a trustee and finance officer at her church.

Leticia E. Gans

Leticia Gans

Assistant Vice President & General Accounting Officer

Ms. Gans has been in the banking industry for over 10 years and is leading PeopleFirstBank’s bookkeeping and accounting functions. Leticia has her roots in Will County having graduated from Joliet Central High School and later completing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Robert Morris College. Leticia also volunteers with MorningStar Mission in Joliet and has served on the Spring Fling Gala Committee since 2008.

Leslie Gomora

Leslie Gomora

Vice President of Lending

Les Gomora is a lifelong Joliet area resident that has held a variety of management roles during his four decades in the banking business. Throughout his career, Les has worked as a Vice President at First National Bank of Joliet, President of First Security Bank of Addison, and served for 22 years as a Middle Market Business Banker, Relationship Manager and Vice President with JP Morgan Chase. Since joining PeopleFirstBank in 2009, Les has been managing business account relationships and represents the Bank at the Exchange Club of Joliet (past president ’74). Mr. Gomora attended St. Raymond’s Grade School, Joliet Catholic High School and studied at Lewis University.

Jennifer Otrembiak

Jennifer Otrembiak

Compliance Officer

Jennifer started her banking career over 10 years ago in a sales management program with Bank One. She then worked in personal banking and branch management roles at Standard Bank. Before joining PeopleFirstBank, she worked in personal banking with Founders Bank.

Ms. Otrembiak earned her Bachelor’s degree at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois; she is originally from Midlothian, Illinois. Jennifer is currently active with the Joliet Chamber of Commerce & Industry Young Professionals group.

Erik Schelling

Erik Schelling

Vice President of Lending

A fourth generation Joliet resident, Erik began his banking career in 1994, working in a variety of banking functions prior to joining PeopleFirstBank as Assistant Vice President of Lending in 2008. He also serves as PeopleFirstBank’s CRA officer. Mr. Schelling previously worked at Amerifed Bank in Crest Hill and First American Bank in Joliet, starting his career as a teller, working into consumer lending and branch management roles, ultimately serving as Vice President and Joliet/Will County Business Relationship Manager.

Erik is also an active member of the Joliet Area Young Professionals (Past President and Board Member), Joliet Exchange Club (’05-’06 Rookie of the Year), Joliet Area YMCA Gallowich Advisory Council, Co-Chair of the MorningsStar Mission's Spring Fling Gala Committee, and founder of the Southwest Physician Resource Network. He is an active member of the music ministry team at Southwest Community Church in Minooka.

Thomas Skraba

Thomas Skraba

Vice President of Operations & Retail Banking

Tom has been a banker for over 25 years, beginning his career with Northern Trust as a teller supervisor and working his way to Assistant Vice President of Tellers. Mr. Skraba completed an Associate’s degree at St. Xavier College and completed coursework with the Illinois Bankers Association. In addition to his duties at PeopleFirstBank, Tom serves as the President of the Exchange Club of Shorewood, committee member of MorningStar Mission’s Box City, and Miracle League of Joliet. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Michelle Tracz

Michelle Tracz

Vice President of Lending

Michelle has been in the banking industry for over 35 years holding multiple titles and is currently PeopleFirstBank’s Vice President of Lending. She has an extensive background in management of loan processing, servicing, collections, business development, compliance and construction, commercial, and consumer lending. A native of Tinley Park, Illinois, Ms. Tracz is a graduate of Bremen High School and has studied at Moraine Valley College, Sheshunoff, and ICBA School of Banking. In her free time, Michelle has served as a board member of the Orland Park Chamber of Commerce and Sertoma Speech and Hearing, an organization that empowers adults with developmental challenges.

Kathleen Zydek

Kathleen Zydek

Senior Vice President & Shorewood Managing Director

Ms. Zydek has over 30 years of management experience in the banking industry with an in depth understanding of community banking and bank marketing. Prior to joining PeopleFirstBank in 2008, Ms. Zydek held a variety of leadership and business development positions with one of North America’s largest electronic transaction processors. Additionally, she has served in management roles at various regional and community banks in the Chicagoland area. Ms. Zydek was also a faculty member at the American Institute of Banking, where she taught classes on bank operations and business development topics.

Kathleen holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago and is an active member of the Joliet Rotary, Shorewood/Joliet Chambers of Commerce and the Holly Club.
